  • Prerequisiti: Knowledge of Microbiology, Physiology, Systematic Pathology, Internal Medicine and General Surgery and related skills acquired during the five years of the course in Medicine and Surgery.
  • Obiettivi: Medical Path: The student will participate in all the clinical activities of the assigned medical Department; during the sixth year the student will be directly involved in the co-management of a patient, from the hospitalization to his discharge: welcoming the patient to the ward, informing the patient and obtaining consent for the diagnostic and therapeutic process, correctly filling in the medical record (anamnesis, clinical examination), set up the clinical differential diagnoses, learn to communicate the diagnosis and prognosis to the patient and family members, set up the treatment plan and knowing the risk of drug interactions, participate in the epicrisis and in compiling the discharge letter. The skills demonstrated in these activities will be crucial for the final evaluation of the student. Surgical path: The student will participate in all the clinical activities of the assigned department; in the last period the student will be directly involved in the management of a patient, from the moment of hospitalization to his discharge: welcoming the patient to the ward, correctly filling in the medical record (medical history, physical examination and daily allowance), setting up the diagnostic path, informing the patient and obtain consent for the diagnostic and therapeutic process, participate in the epicrisis and in the compilation of the discharge letter and, if possible, participate in the compilation of a RAD understanding its meaning. The objectives include: knowing how to apply a dressing in a sterile field, applying and removing stitches, attending at least one operating session.
