  • Obiettivi: Tourism and sport, with objectives of physical well-being, are intimately linked. To this end, the tourist reception areas are now specifically designed and organized. Above all in terms of the creation of the necessary infrastructures, made with public funding but also with private investments. This is why both geography and geopolitics deal with it. The objective of this course is the introduction to the geographical reflection of tourism linked to wellness and what power relationships can be generated and can possibly be antagonists. We will understand what types of geographical transformations are triggered by this type of tourism activity, which is intimately linked to sustainability and the environment. LEARNING OUTCOMES: In this course the students will learn to understand how tourism has become an important element in the territorial organization and in this a particular weight is linked to physical well-being and sports practice. We will see how political decision-makers, operators and citizens use tourism to change relationships (including strengths) in the various territorial areas. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: The student will learn the tools of geopolitics and geography related to tourism and sport. APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: The student will be able to analyse the different cases he will face: in a multi-scale framework MAKING JUDGEMENTS: The student will be able to understand the context and the positions of the different actors in the field, making himself an autonomous picture of the situation. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: The student will be able to analyse a representation, in a geopolitical sense, to understand a specific tourism project or to expose the framework. LEARNING SKILLS: Students will be able to investigate with new materials and will have information on where to find material of interest to the different cases that will have to face.
