  • Teaching methods: Frontale
  • Assessment methods: Scritto E Orale
  • Prerequisites: lla Botanica Generale.
  • Objectives: e importance of preserving plant biodiversity; students will have to show the ability to understand the significance of the gravity of plant genetic variability reduction, both in molecular and ecological terms. APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: Ability to: discriminate plant species on the basis of their short or long-term conservative properties; select the plant districts with the highest regenerative potential; extract and analyze DNA from plant species to typify their genetic profile (that is fundamental for selection). MAKING JUDGEMENTS: The course aims to develop in students a critical and autonomous thinking about the loss of plant biodiversity, gene erosion, habitat fragmentation and globalization, pushing them to suggest applicable low-impact alternatives. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: An adequate terminology of techniques and plant material described in the course is required. LEARNING SKILLS: Students must be able to identify the best method of propagation and conservation of the plant material shown to them, highlighting their ability to learn the concepts explained during the lessons.
