  • Objectives: LEARNING OUTCOMES: Students will acquire a very good knowledge of the period between the foundation of the first colonies and the American Renaissance. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: understanding a literary text in its cultural and historical context. APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: at the end of the course, students will be able to analyze literary texts, against their historical, cultural and literary background. MAKING JUDGEMENTS: Students will be able to understand and independently analyze literary texts. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: students will be able to share ideas and communicate what they learnt. LEARNING SKILLS: students will be able both to further they education, and to successfully find a job.
