  • Objectives: LEARNING OUTCOMES: to provide students with the essential elements and main acquisitions of Italian and European medieval archeology. Develop the skills of evaluation and critical reading of texts on archaeological topics. Learn to read the meaning of objects, monuments and landscapes of post-classical period KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: knowledge and ability to understand the transformations of the material world (objects, buildings, bodies, landscapes) and their meaning - APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: Ability to apply knowledge and understanding to the correct chronological, economic and social value of the universe of objects MAKING JUDGEMENTS: it is planned to stimulate critical skills through the systematic comparison between different methodological theories and approaches COMMUNICATION SKILLS: lectures are always followed by a debate on the topics covered. During part B students are called to critically present and comment on a short essay. LEARNING SKILLS: Lectures, discussion of specialized texts, guided visits to museums and monuments are aimed at learning to understand the meaning of the material world, however and in whatever age it occurs
