  • Objectives: LEARNING OUTCOMES: Course aimed at the acquisition of the critical ability to read the construction and constitutive phases of a Monument, at learning notions on the method of analysis and study of the Historic City and Landscape. The lessons will deal with the general themes of "History and Theory of Architectural and Landscape Restoration" through didactic activities at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" but also through visits to historical sites, Monuments and Restoration Sites. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: students are expected to gain skills and understanding in a field of study covering principles of Architectural Restoration and History of Architecture. APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: students should be able to apply their knowledge and understanding in a manner that demonstrates a critical approach to Architectural Restoration. AUTONOMY OF JUDGEMENT: students should have the ability to collect and interpret data useful for historical research for a historical building. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: students should be able to communicate information on the topics covered. LEARNING SKILLS: students should have developed those learning skills that are necessary to undertake further studies.
