  • Objectives: TRAINING OBJECTIVES: At the end of the course the student should possess the aesthetic conceptual tools necessary for understanding the world of art and the media. KNOWLEDGE AND CAPACITY TO UNDERSTAND: The student should be able to handle the essential concepts and guiding principles of aesthetics with particular reference to the thought of the author(s) considered. CAPABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: The student should be able to apply the principles enunciated by aesthetics at least to the specific individual cases that will be dealt with during the course. AUTONOMY OF JUDGEMENT: The student will see his/her autonomy of judgement increased when faced with a work of art. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: The student will increase his/her communication skills as he/she will be repeatedly asked to formulate questions and judgements throughout the course of the course and in the exam. LEARNING SKILLS: At the end of the course, the student will be in possession of a set of conceptual grids that are fundamental for understanding and handling background and detailed questions concerning the world of art and media.
