  • Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of historical events and of the development of artistic languages from the XIVth to the XVIth centuries. The course is intended for students who mean to improve knowledge of architectural drawing and architectural drawing history.
  • Objectives: The laboratory offers an in-depth look at the figure of the artist Raffaello Sanzio as an architect and his key role in the architectural culture in Rome in the early sixteenth century. The architectural work of Raphael still remains partially unknown and is often considered marginal compared to painting. During the lessons, students will be invited to develop their argumentative skills with in-depth studies and through freehand drawing exercises, to better understand the structure of some Renaissance architecture of particular importance.
