  • Objectives: LEARNING OUTCOMES: At the end of the course the student possesses the basic knowledge of Russian grammar and a minimum linguistic competence both oral and written to satisfy his/her elementary communication needs in a limited number of situations of everyday life. Understanding of both informative and descriptive oral and written texts, textual analysis: grammatical constructions, key information. Understanding and use of frequent expressions relating to areas of immediate needs. Ability to introduce oneself and others, to ask questions and give personal details relating to the place where one lives, works or studies; ability to provide information about friends and colleagues and objects. Use of greetings, thanks, apologies. Use of adverbs of time and place. Can handle simple and direct exchange of information. Ability to summarize and communicate knowledge acquired, to interpret data and express one's own opinion.
