  • Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of historical events and of the development of artistic languages from the XIVth to the XVIth centuries. The course is intended for students who mean to improve knowledge of architectural drawing and architectural drawing history.
  • Objectives: The workshop means to get students closer to the reading of architectural drawing, by means of an in depth analysis of the architectural work in plan, elevation, section, axonometry and perspective views, and also byanalysing chronological evolution of architectural drawing from the earliest examples of ancient times (Assyrians, Egyptians, Greeks and Romans) until later developments of Middle Age and Renaissance. During the workshop, classroom practices on free-hand drawing will be programmed, in order to carry on an in-depth analysis of some of the studied architectural works.
