  • Objectives: The student will be able to apply his/her knowledge in approaching unfamiliar topics within broad contexts related to his/her field of study. He/she will be able to analyse and reconstruct in depth the historical-cultural dynamics in relation to the production, tradition and valorisation of themes and images relating to the history of contemporary arts and will also be able to use bibliographic data, classify images, objects, architecture from a technical-formal, chronological-stylistic point of view.AUTONOMY OF JUDGEMENT: The student will be aware of the peculiarities of the historical-artistic heritage of the 20th century as regards Western production, both in the national and international context, with particular reference to the main theories of 20th century arts. He/she will thus be able to integrate knowledge and make judgements, even on the basis of limited information.COMMUNICATION SKILLS:The student will be able to communicate clearly at a popular level (e.g. at debates and conferences) in relation to the topics covered by the course.LEARNING SKILLS:Teaching will be set up in such a way as to enhance historical, selective and comparative skills, with a view to the acquisition of a learning method that will allow, at the end of the course, to undertake subsequent studies in the art-historical field with autonomy in the chronological orientation at a historical and theoretical level of the arts of the 20th century.Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
