- Objectives: LEARNING OUTCOMES: In italian the word ��stampa�� means both ��printing and publishing�� and ��press��. This semantic ambiguity is used for starting the study of main historical, theoretical and methodological questions about the relationship between literary texts and authors and ��stampa�� both as ��printing and publishing�� and as ��press�� KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: History of publishing. New��s flow and communication during modern age. History of censorship. Main literary theories in 20th and 21th century. Reading and contextualizing of passages of literary theorists and critics. APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: Ability in studying publishing history of literary texts and in underlining their thematic and/or formal relationship with non fiction novel and journalism. Students will be able to employ knowledges in simulations of reading literary texts with different literary theories and methodologies. MAKING JUDGEMENTS: Student should be able to move autonomously between historical and theoretical issues. Students will move in autonomy in choice of different literary theories and methodologies for explanation of literary texts or artworks in relationship with literary texts. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Students will be able to communicate in writing or verbally the content of literary theory and criticism with suitable style and lexicon. Student should be able to communicate with suitable oral and written language about historical and theoretical issues on relationship between literature, press and publishing. LEARNING SKILLS: Students will be able to connect knowledges and methodological instruments in order to use them in different educational or institutional contexts.
