  • Objectives: The video game represents a medium that is linked to digital culture, the growing diffusion in the population (today not constituted only by young people, or by the first generation of gamers), and in the society show how the video game language has become part of the contemporary imagination , influencing and shaping the entire sector of the cultural industry in its own way. In the analysis of interactive storytelling models and its authors, a specific focus will be on the figure of David Cage, a famous game designer known for his experiments to create new gameplays based on interactive storytelling. LEARNING OUTCOMES: This module aims to provide students with the following knowledge and skills KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: Analysis of an historical-cultural context and its relationship with the present. APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: Based on acquired knowledge, students will be able to analyze the dynamics and criticism of this specific field of knowledge. MAKING JUDGEMENTS: Students will be able to acquire an autonomous ,critical ability and to apply it in the different cultural and working fields of their curriculum of studies. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: the student will be able to learn the typical terminology of the sector and apply it to his studies and dissertations.
